Nepal-Reise
vom ca. 07. Oktober 18h bis 21. Oktober Frühstück 2026, NEPAL, schamanische Studienreise mit Bhola Banstola.
Discover a truly rare and transformative journey into the heart of Nepalese Shamanism.
We invite you to immerse in an extraordinary encounter with highly revered Dhami-Jhankri Shamans — both women and men — representing a rich diversity of ancestral lineages and cultural traditions In an atmosphere of deep authenticity, these wisdom keepers generously share their sacred rituals, ancestral traditions, and lived spiritual knowledge.
This unique experience unfolds in a peaceful, serene, eco-friendly village nestled in the breathtaking Nagarkot Hills, offering panoramic views over the ancient city of Bhaktapur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Surrounded by powerful landscapes and centuries of spiritual history, participants are held in a setting that naturally supports inner transformation and connection.
Teachings, ceremonies, and experiential presentations unfold both indoors and beneath the open sky, inviting a deep, embodied relationship with nature, the elements, and the land itself as well as with the living traditions of Nepal.
This journey is not merely a continuation of previous offerings—it is a significant expansion and powerful refinement, inspired by the profound success and heartfelt feedback and insights gained from previous events.
We intentionally create a small, intimate, and deeply impactful experience, focusing on the astonishing diversity and depth of shamanic practices found across Nepal.
Each itinerary is thoughtfully designed with care and sensitivity, honoring individual needs, preferences, and health considerations, ensuring a welcoming, safe and inclusive space for participants from all walks of life.
Responding to past feedback regarding trekking challenges, we now proudly provide a range of accessible and meaningful alternatives, allowing everyone to engage fully with nature, culture, and ceremony. This is an invitation to discover, remember, reconnect and be profoundly changed —guided by ancient wisdom and the living spirit of Nepal.
We warmly invite you to join us on a meaningful journey into the spiritual heart of the Nepal Himalayas.
This is a unique opportunity to take part in the Nepal-Himalayan Experiential Shamanic Pilgrimages, created for people who feel a genuine connection to Shamanism and Animism and who want to experience and understand these living traditions more deeply.
These transformative journeys offer an immersive exploration of Nepal’s rich and diverse shamanic practices, guided by Bhola Banstola, a respected and distinguished 27th-generation Dhami-Jhankri Shaman.
With over thirty years of experience, Bhola has been leading powerful and impactful shamanic and cultural gatherings in Nepal and around the world, sharing wisdom that is grounded, authentic, and deeply connected to ancestral lineages.
In today’s fast-moving world, many of us feel the call to slow down, reconnect, and remember what truly matters. We believe that healing happens when ancient wisdom meets modern awareness.
By bringing together Elders, tradition keepers, and contemporary seekers, we create spaces where ancestral knowledge can be shared, lived, and carried forward in a respectful way.
This pilgrimage is more than a trip—it’s a shared experience of learning, healing, and connection. It’s about honoring shamanic traditions, celebrating cultural diversity, and cultivating a sense of unity that goes beyond borders. If you feel drawn to walk this path with curiosity, humility, and an open heart, you are warmly welcome.
Nepal – The proposed programs
Every day of these experiential pilgrimages is designed to reveal new opportunities and insights, empowering participants to explore the depths of Nepali culture and Shamanic practices. Sessions will be expertly structured throughout the day, incorporating breaks for nourishing meals. Each participant is strongly encouraged to actively engage in ceremonies and participate in group cleansing and healing processes, thereby fostering both individual and collective growth. We are committed to further enhancing the experience.
Communication & Language
All presentations and discussions will be delivered in Nepali and other regional languages, with simultaneous translation into English and vice versa whenever feasible. This approach ensures that every participant can fully engage and appreciate the rich teachings presented. Ample opportunities for questions and dialogue will be available, allowing for deeper engagement with the rhythms and methods of the Nepali shamans and elders.
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, participants will receive a warm welcome. They will be conveniently escorted to the Apsara Boutique Hotel in Thamel (www.apsaraboutiquehotel.com) or a similar property, where a delightful welcome dinner will be served at 8:00 PM.
The initial three nights and two days will be devoted to acclimatization, cultural exploration, and well-deserved rest.
Following these preparations, participants will transition into a two-day stay in UNESCO’s Bhaktapur Heritage Week.
Then we embark on a six-day retreat with the Dhami-Jhankri Shamans in a tranquil homestay setting, fully immersed in the beauty of nature.
During the six-day retreat, each morning will be dedicated to visiting local sacred places, including a trip to see the mighty Himalayas and excursions to the waterfalls. The retreat will centre on Shamanic practices, including the classification of spirits, an exploration of the causes of disharmony and illness, sacred songs and melodies, shamanic rhythms, and sacred mantras, as well as the facilitation of powerful group rituals. The remaining time will be dedicated to visiting holy places of power within the Kathmandu Valley, culminating in profound initiations and empowerment sessions. This initiative confidently invites participants to embark on a transformative journey of cultural engagement, personal growth, and healing through the exploration of Nepali Shamanism. Together, we will foster mutual understanding, respect, and a deeper connection among diverse communities.
